Learning & Teaching Support Materials (LTSM) Advisory Forum


This forum will advise the Minister of Education on all issues pertaining to LTSM.

The National Learning and Teaching Support Materials Consultative Forum is a Forum appointed by the Minister of Education to co-ordinate the activities of Department of Education and the private sector agencies in the development of the learning and teaching support material industry of South Africa to the end that quality learning and teaching support materials of all kinds may be made available at the lowest possible costs to all learners throughout the country.

Association For Development Of Education In Africa


The Working Group on Books and Learning materials was established to deal with the shortage of books in Africa. The main purpose of the working group is to identify and disseminate innovative strategies for addressing the continuing book crisis through

  1. Generating research into different aspects of the book sector,
  2. Encouraging the development of relevant book policies at national level that address key gaps in book provision,
  3. Networking with a wide range of stakeholders that are keen to revitalize the book sector.
